An Appeal for Outdoor Equipment and Clothing

After experiencing horrendous weather of 100mph winds and driving rain which wrecked all our tents and damaged lots of our equipment on our latest long distance walk from Dover to Cape Wrath and on to John o'Groats, VIA is in need of Outdoor Equipment and Clothing for the veterans taking part on our events.

VIA are appealing to any Outdoor Equipment and Clothing Companies our members of the public who could supply our team with the items we need.

Many of those taking part on our events are of low income or on benefits due to suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which makes it difficult for them to hold down full time employment.

This is where VIA helps them by helping rebuild their confidence, self esteem and self belief on the events it runs. Although our latest event was a great success in many ways, losing all our equipment in the huge storms in Scotland has set us back and the reason for this appeal.

To date we have raised the funds and bought all our own equipment but with another event coming in the next few months we need equipment and clothing in order to help more veterans who will be taking part.
