Communications and Canoe Course
On the 20th and 21st of August 2011 VIA ran it's second Communications Course which was run by Paul Boag and held at the Grandtully Hotel, Grandtully, Perthshire for members of the VIA Scottish Team.

VIA would like to say a huge thanks to all the staff at the Grandtully Hotel who made the team members very welcome.
The two day Communcations Course was followed by a three day Canoe Skills Training Course which was also run by Paul Boag and was the first outing for the two new VIA Wen-O-ah Canoes plus one canoe that was borrowed for the course from a local contact.
Gary McGregor and Mark Coleman attended the course and achieved a two star grading at the end of the course and will now continue training to instructor level.
Once instructor level has been reached both Gary and Mark will start to train veterans who are taking part on the ALIVE Program.

They will also organise water based activities and expeditions using their canoeing and White Water Rafting Guide qualifications which will run alongside other land based activities and expeditions that VIA wil organise.

A huge thank you to Paul Boag for running the courses and to all who took part for the efforts they put into the full week which was challenging and enjoyable.
