VIA Foundation Course

All Veterans In Action Team Leaders that work with veterans will be required to do our unique Foundation Course which has been designed specifically for our use by our Trainer Paul Boag of Body, Mind School of NLP.

This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of VIA's future growth within team leadership and to establish the communication criteria used to support the integration of the ALIVE Program within VIA's philosophy.

Course aim

On successful completion candidates will have the skill set to assist others during open conversation by reframing negative behavioural patterns, thereby changing outcomes and creating ownership.

VIA proactively helps Ex Armed Service personnel to overcome contemplated self doubts and move towards the reintegration into society and the re-establishment of self esteem and self belief. The conversation techniques taught on this course establish a platform to allow people seeking help from VIA to achieve these goals, albeit during fundraising events and outdoor activities within the ALIVE Program

Standards and quality control

The course will be delivered by VIA Trainer Paul Boag who is a qualified Trainer of NLP and a member of the American Board of NLP, his school Body Mind School of NLP B.M.N.L.P is registered with the A.B.N.L.P. Therefore successful candidates will be certified by the internationally recognised A.B.N.L.P

Further Courses

VIA believe that everyone has something to offer and thereby encourages people to participate with the organised Adventure Training Program. VIA aim to simulate learning, one of the main foundational ethics towards the development of the ALIVE Program is to rekindle learning which in turn nurtures self-belief and generates individual self-esteem.

VIA could quite easily hire free-lance instructors for its outdoor phase of the ALIVE Program, we prefer to encourage people to take part in the Adventure activities and for VIA to develop the talent identified within its own ranks.

Of course not everyone can be an outdoor pursuit’s instructor, and the process to become one is long and expensive. Participation is the key as without this VIA cannot identify or invest in talent it cannot see.

Funds raised by those who participate and those who don’t wish to participate go towards financing expeditions, therefore the selection of instructor talent must be accurate and sustainable.

There are many other courses VIA are willing to invest and develop its members with, again the participation of organised adventure training program within the ALIVE Program stages, will thereby allow VIA to nurture and select candidate for a wide variation of skills VIA need now and for the future.
