Supporter - Maria Leijerstam
Maria is a British Adventure Racing Athlete who has completed the Marathon des Sables and has raced on the World Series circuit over the last 5 years. She is passionate about living life to the full and allowing others to share some of the experiences she has had through her sporting endeavours. In 2010 she set up her business called Multisport Wales that provides events and training for people who want to try something new, push their limits and most of all share a wonderful exprience.
"It was a heart warming moment when I heard of the great work that Veterans In Action do in providing such vital support to our service personnel as they integrate back into civilian life. Sharing new experiences and facing personal challenges through sporting adventures is a wonderful way to achieve this . We are all indepted to our Armed Forces, who risk everything for us and hence I for one, will do what I can to support this charity".
